CAMDEN (WPVI) -- A crash on the Admiral Wilson Boulevard left one person dead and two others injured.

It happened around 11 p.m. Sunday on the westbound lanes of the boulevard in Camden, New Jersey.

Surveillance video from a nearby gas station's cameras showed what looked like a ball of fire flying across the screen.

Carlos Hernandez was working at the gas station when he heard the horrifying sound.

"I just heard a big bang and I saw a flash. When I came outside, I saw the crash and the cops were there," Hernandez said.

Police said three people were in the car, all were adult teens. A woman was behind the wheel, and there were two male passengers.

"It looks like the car was traveling at a high rate of speed; they hit the median and from there, the car ended up in a vacant lot on Admiral Wilson Boulevard," Dan Keashan of the Camden County Police Department said.

Police said the driver was not wearing a seatbelt. According to the passengers, at the time of the crash, they were traveling at least 100 miles per hour.

Investigators say the car first hit the median near 17th Street and the car made its second and final impact near 19th Street.

The driver was ejected and made impact before the car did.

The passengers suffered minor injuries.

"They were with the driver for most of the night so detectives are working with them now to try to piece together some of the things that happened prior to the accident," Keashan said.

Police are waiting on toxicology results to determine if drugs or alcohol played a factor in this crash.

No charges will be filed in this case.
