Philly Phanatic tours the maternity ward

CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- Some new moms got an early Mother's Day surprise Friday afternoon at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Center City.

The Phillie Phanatic was dressed in scrubs as he congratulated the moms, and officially welcomed their babies as the newest members of the inaugural Phillies Newborn Club.

Each new baby was presented with a personalized Phillies Birth Certificate, sneakers and a rookie of the year bib.
