Man seriously injured in Wilmington stabbing

WILMINGTON (WPVI) -- A man was seriously injured in a stabbing in Wilmington, Delaware.

It happened just after 7 p.m. Thursday on the 100 block of Poplar Street.

Police say a 49-year-old man was stabbed in the torso in an apparent unprovoked attack.

The victim was taken to Saint Francis Hospital in serious condition.

The suspect remains at large, police say.

Police say there was an apparent struggle between the victim and assailant, and the assailant may also have been hurt.
