Sinkhole opens on Port Richmond street

PORT RICHMOND (WPVI) -- A large sinkhole has opened on a street in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia.

The sinkhole is in the 1800 block of East Venango Street.

Firefighters say the 12 foot hole has compromised the street.

The Philadelphia Streets Department and PGW are on the scene.

The view from the Action Cam showed the area around the sinkhole taped off and the road was apparently closed.
