2 students suspended for mascot racial slur post. Rick Williams reports during Action News at Noon on October 6, 2017.

Two students have been suspended after a social media post showed a school mascot holding a sign with a racial slur.

In the post, a photo showed "The Rider" from Caesar Rodney School District in Kent County holding a sign with the "n-word."

The district says the two students identified will face disciplinary action up to and including expulsion.

"While the act of these individuals was reprehensible and will not be tolerated, I wish to commend our students and our community for their support during this challenging time." said Superintendent Dr. Kevin Fitzgerald

The Delaware Department of Justice determined, however, no charges will be filed against the students.
