Teen struck by train at Merion Station

MERION, Pa. (WPVI) -- A teenager is in the hospital after getting hit by an Amtrak train in Lower Merion, Montgomery County.

The accident occurred just before 3 p.m. Sunday at the Merion Station on Merion Road and Highland Avenue.

The Amtrak train was passing the station when she was hit.

The unidentified teen was seriously injured.

It's not clear what the teen was doing when she was struck.
