Police investigate double shooting in Tioga-Nicetown

TIOGA-NICETOWN -- Police are investigating a shooting that left two people wounded in Philadelphia's Tioga-Nicetown section late Wednesday night.

The shooting occurred just before 11:00 p.m. on the 4400 block of Gratz Street.

One victim was taken to Einstein Medical Center and the second victim was taken to Temple University Hospital.

Both are in stable condition.

Police took one person into custody.

They have not said why the victims were shot.

The incident remains under investigation.
