PHILADELPHIA - Two local fashion students are still enjoying the lime-light after winning a design competition that aired on Action News during Good Morning America.
Tommy Heidebrecht and Karen Espina go to Jefferson University.
They took on teams from Marist College and Montclair State University with the goal of completely redesigning a wedding dress.
They were told to use as much of the fabric as possible and were given only a $50 budget.
The duo says the whole experience was more than they could have imagined.
Project runway winner Leanne Marshall helped GMA design this unique challenge.
Both of the winners say the project made them think more about sustainable fashion, and are excited to have such a special project in their portfolios.
