NORTH PHILADELPHIA - Police say a man sitting in his car was ambushed and killed in North Philadelphia.
It happened at 1:30 a.m. Thursday on Lippincott Street near 16th Street.
Police arrived to find the victim sitting unresponsive in a car.
He had been shot twice in the chest. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene.
Witnesses told police they saw a man wearing a tan hooded sweatshirt fleeing on North Chadwick Street after the gunfire erupted.
No arrests have been made.
