CHERRY HILL, N.J. - Owner and President of Paw it 4ward Foundation, Azita Kay, says her main mission is helping local animal shelters and rescues offset medical care costs.
"When there is an animal in need if we don't have the funds to take care of them, then we can't help them," says Kay.
Kay has raised and donated over $50,000 in medical funds, saving countless lives.
"The rescues put in an application, and once it's approved we pay the vet directly," Kay says.
Kay's next big event is the 5th annual "Rock 4 Paws" fest.
The festival will be held on September 16 at Indian Acres Farm in Medford, New Jersey.
"We're going to have music all day and adoptable pets," says Kay.
Like a 10-year-old poodle named Tang.
"She's available through Tiny Paws animal rescue. She's absolutely amazing, she's good with dogs, kids, cats and she's potty trained," Kay says.
Minnie is an owner surrender, currently living in a foster home.
"She is actually one of our medical recipients this year. She needed a lot of dental work and we were able to donate $800 towards that and get her ready," says Kay.
Mango was a stray with an injured leg, but now he is fully healed and living with a foster family.
"Mango would do best in a home where he is the only dog and gets all the attention. He is very large and strong, loves car rides. He's just a great dog looking for his person," Kay says.
3-year-old Ginger is very low key and has quite the personality. She would also make a great snuggle partner.
