Aquarium's first anaconda mamma
BOSTON (AP) - January 2, 2008 The births weren't in a hospital delivery room,
but at the New England Aquarium. Officials there report an anaconda
named Ashley gave birth early New Year's Day to 14 baby snakes. The
experts say such births in captivity are somewhat rare. It's the
aquarium's first anaconda mamma. The little snakes will stay in
Boston for at least a month before they are offered to other
aquariums and zoos.
