Cousin admits helping police slay suspect flee

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - January 7, 2008 Hakim Glover says he drove accused gunman John Lewis to a Wilmington, Del., bus station after the Oct. 31 shooting of Officer Chuck Cassidy.

Cassidy was fatally shot as he stumbled upon a doughnut store robbery.

Glover faces up to 14 years in prison after pleading guilty Monday to obstruction and hindering apprehension.

Lewis has been in custody since he was captured at a Miami homeless shelter.

Glover is expected to testify at his cousin's preliminary hearing on Thursday.
