It happened at Absegami High School in Galloway Township during a game between Absegami and Oakcrest High School.
Police say at one point 10-to-15 people were fighting. Officers from five districts were called in to restore order.
Police arrested six men, ages 18 and 19, and one juvenile. Two of the suspects were treated for minor injuries, along with one police officer.
