Drawing a beer is getting high-tech
NEW YORK (AP) - January 9, 2008 The
BeerTender keeps a mini-keg of Heineken at just the right
temperature. The appliance from Krups is glossy black keg with an
LCD display, which warns if the brew supply is running low. The
beer fridge is already available in Europe and was introduced to
the U.S. market at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. A
Heineken official says the BeerTender will keep a five-liter keg, a
little more than a gallon, fresh tasting for 30 days. It goes on
sale March 1st and will cost $400.
