Delaware teens charged with gun at school

CAMDEN, Del. (AP) - January 10, 2008

According to police, the mother of one of the boys told police Wednesday morning that a handgun was missing from her home and she feared her son may have taken it to the school.

The teen denied knowing about the location of the gun, but police questioned a second boy and found the gun in a locker. They also found brass knuckles in a backpack.

The boys, ages 13 and 14, are charged with carrying a concealed deadly weapon in a safe school zone. The older boy also faces charges of carrying a concealed dangerous instrument.

Both have been suspended from school.
