A man is fighting for his life after a nasty crash in West Philadelphia ejected the man from his vehicle. It happened in the 4400 block of Spruce Street around 1:00 this morning. The driver of a Lincoln, identified as 30-year-old Adrian Briggs of Upper Darby, was travelling westbound on Spruce in excess of 100 miles per hour when he lost control and struck at least 6 parked cars on both sides of the street.

The impact of the crash caused the man to be ejected. He landed in the 300 block of 44th Street. The Lincoln continued into the 4400 block of Spruce Street where it struck a taxicab head on.

Medics transported the driver of the Lincoln to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he is in extremely critical condition.
