New Castle County Police say three teens have been charged with breaking into a Glasgow-area house and stealing an assault rifle and bullets.

It happened Thursday morning at a house on Garvey Lane in Pencader Village.

Police say 19-year-old Ousmane Sow and 2 boys ages 15 and 17 got in through the back door and took an AK-47 assault rifle, a scope and 2 bullets.

The residents were in different parts of the house and the teens were gone before they realized what was going on.

The teens drove away, but an officer found their car on Winterhaven Drive. The 17-year-old said he was carjacked, but was taken in for questioning.

Sow and the 15-year-old were picked up in the parking lot of the Four Seasons Shopping Center, and the rifle, bullets and scope were recovered.

The three teens are charged with burglary, theft, theft of a firearm and conspiracy.
