Help find the "Scarf Face Bandit"

PHILADELPHIA - January 14, 2008

The FBI released photos during the weekend of a suspect they've dubbed the "Scarf Face Bandit." He last struck a Citizens Bank in Bensalem Friday evening just before 5:30 p.m.

Police describe him as a black man in his 20s, about 5'6" to 5'7" tall with a dark complexion, thin build. He was wearing a a dark leather jacket, light-colored buttoned shirt with a white T-shirt underneath. He also had on a black New York Yankees baseball cap.

He was armed with a black semi-auto handgun.

During the holdup, he was given a dye pack with the cash that should have exploded shortly after ran out, so his clothing and/or hands may be stained with red dye.

Investigators think he might also be responsible for the robbery of the Sun East Federal Credit Union at 9212 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, PA, on Wednesday, December 26, 2007 and the Earth Star Bank located at 8910 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, PA, on Thursday, January 3, 2008.

A $2,500 is being offered by the Delaware Valley Financial Security Officers Group for information leading to the robber's arrest and conviction.
