Thirty-two-year-old Eric McGinnis was indicted on a charge of new home construction fraud over $100,000. He is also charged with three counts of improper retention of funds.
Police have been searching for him for several months. He owes the state more than $164,000 in back taxes.
Despite owning a home in Central America, police say he has family in the area and may return.
