Both Fran and Stephanie were in need of kidneys.
Their husbands wanted to help and give them each one of theirs, but were not matches.
So through a kidney paired exchange program at Johns Hopkins, the husbands were able to donate their kidneys to someone in need.
It turns out, John was a perfect match for Stephanie and Chris was a perfect match for Fran.
"It's not only the gift of life. It's the gift of love," said Fran.
A year after the women received their new kidneys; the couples met and instantly felt the bond of family and a newfound appreciation for life.
"Appreciate every single moment. That's something Chris and I do every single day," said Stephanie.
A kidney and a miracle will bond the two couples forever.
