Police say 40-year-old Christopher Palmer, of Elsmere, was found in the restroom in the club in the 1200 block of North Locust Street. Investigators say he had been shot in the head and pronounced dead on the scene.
Wilmington police spokesman Master Sergeant Steven Barnes says the city's Division of license and Inspection is investigating whether there is a license to operate a nightclub at that location.
Investigators have no leads in the case, which is the third homicide in the city this year and the second in less than a week.
