Delaware State Police have identified the man killed when his car rear-ended a tractor trailer on Interstate 95 early Monday morning. Police say the man was 28-year-old Sergio Ramirez of the Wilmington area. Authorities say it took a while to identify him because he was not carrying identification and was driving a car with Tennessee tags.

The crash happened about 12:20 a.m. in the southbound lanes near Route 1. Other motorists managed to pull Ramirez from the wreck before it burst into flames, but he later died.
