Central Jersey firehouse goes up in flames

PISCATAWAY, N.J. (AP) - February 1, 2008 Piscataway Police Lt. Ken Blair says the blaze was reported by neighbors of the Holmes Marshall Fire Company a little before 11 a.m.

By 11:30 a.m., it was considered a four-alarm fire.

The all volunteer fire company does not staff the fire station around the clock.

Blair says the cause of the fire is unknown and that no injuries have been reported.

At least some of the fire equipment was removed from the building.
