Hearing held in video game death

MEDIA, Pa. - February 1, 2008 - Christine Ricks is testifying in a hearing to determine whether the boy will be tried as an adult or juvenile.

Fourteen-year-old Jahmir Ricks is facing murder charges in the death of his 16-year-old brother Antwan, who authorities say was stabbed on July 15th after the two fought over a video game controller.

Jahmir Ricks has been charged as an adult. If convicted of first-degree murder, the minimum sentence is life in prison with no chance of parole.

His attorney wants the case transferred to juvenile court. If convicted in juvenile court, Ricks could only be kept in custody until his 21st birthday.
