Racy retail gets store in trouble
VIRGINIA BEACH, Virginia (AP) - February 4, 2008
Authorities in Virginia Beach, Virginia, have cited the manager of
the Lynnhaven Mall store for misdemeanor obscenity. Police say the
chain was warned about photo displays showing nearly naked models.
According to authorities, one seized photo has three shirtless
young men and one with his upper butt showing. Another has a woman
whose breast is mostly exposed. Police say the manager was charged
because there's no legal way to issue a summons to a corporation.
As of last night, there was no comment from the suits at
Abercrombie's corporate headquarters.
