Now, Richard Taylor is charged with posing as the bug man or a maintenance man to rip-off dorm rooms and apartments in the Louisiana Tech area.
Authorities charge he used the ruse to steal laptops and other valuables.
The crimes were first reported last month.
This week, police in Ruston, say a suspicious tenant called a property manager about the so-called maintenance man.
The property manager chased the suspect to the campus stadium, where police busted Taylor.
