Police searching for imposter

Police in Lindenwold, New Jersey are asking for help finding a police impersonator who stopped a woman driver and indecently assaulted her.

Police in Lindenwold, Camden County have released a sketch of the suspect. They say this man has been impersonating a police officer.

The suspect is in his 20s with a stocky build. He was wearing dark pants and a light blue shirt.

After asking for identification, the suspect told the victim she resembled a woman police were looking for and that he needed to check for a tattoo on her back. He told her to get out of the car and put her head on the hood. Then he looked underneath her shirt. As another car came up the road, he let her go.

The man was driving a white Ford Crown Victoria that had red and white flashing lights on the dashboard.

Anyone with information should call police.
