A tractor-trailer hit a car that was stalled on Interstate 78 in Berks County, killing two teenagers.

Investigators say the two girls were heading west near Hamburg when a tractor-trailer cut them off and the car stalled. One of the girls was on the phone relating that story to her mother when a second truck hit her car.

Eighteen-year-old Jessica Turzanski and 19-year-old Dametria Davis were both pronounced dead at the scene around 10 p.m. Friday.

State police say charges are not expected to be filed against the truck driver.

Police say the car stalled in the right lane on a bridge over the Schuylkill River, where there was no shoulder.
