State police say a Florida man stabbed his girlfriend's son, who was trying to stop him from driving after drinking. Police say 47-year-old Dennis Graham had been drinking at his girlfriend's Millsboro home and got angry when she told him he couldn't drive her car.

When Graham took the keys and left, police say the woman's 20-year-old son followed and tried to stop him. That's when police say Graham pulled a knife, stabbed the son in the chest and then fled in the car.

Police say the woman's son is being treated at Beebe Medical Center for life-threatening injuries.

Graham was arrested in Longneck and charged with four offenses including attempted murder and drunken driving and taken to Sussex Correctional Institution. Police say no bond was set because Graham was intoxicated.
