Wilmington Police wrapped up their investigation into a fencing ring last December and now they want to return the stolen property to its owners. They are inviting the public to view stolen property recovered from that investigation next week.

Police say close to 300 items that will be shown to the public were recovered from the alleged burglary fencing operation in the 300 Blk. of E. 22nd Street.

The items, including jewelry, electronics, power tools and miscellaneous property, will be on display at 1204 E. 12th Street, building #1 on Tuesday and Wednesday February 19 and 20, 2008, between the hours of 10:00 am and 3:00 pm.

Police are encouraging people who have been the victim of a theft or burglary to view the items and will accept police reports, receipts and photos as proof of ownership. The items can be recovered at that time.
