Drexel falls in double overtime

NORFOLK, Va. (AP) - February 14, 2008 Lee finished with 23 points. His free throw with 4:30 left in the second overtime gave Old Dominion the lead for good at 61-60.

Drexel battled back after Old Dominion built its lead to six points, cutting the margin to two points with 12 seconds left.

Old Dominion held a 15-point lead with 12:45 remaining in regulation but Drexel put together a 20-4 run that gave the Dragons the lead at 49-48 with 3:17 left.

Brandon Johnson hit a 3-pointer with 0.8 second left in regulation to tie the score at 54-54 and send the game into overtime.

In the first overtime, Drexel led 59-60 with 1:01 remaining but a free throw by Lee tied the score 60-60 and forced the second overtime.

Johnson finished with seven points and five steals. Frank Hassell and Brian Henderson each scored 10 points for Old Dominion (13-13, 8-6 Colonial Athletic Association).

Tramayne Hawthorne led Drexel (10-16, 3-11 CAA) with 21 points. Scott Rodgers added 13 points and Frank Elegar scored 12 points.
