Researcher worried about his mummy
BOSTON (AP) - February 14, 2008 Or make
that pictures he takes of mummies. The Connecticut reseacher uses
Polaroid film to take X-ray photos of ancient mummies deep in the
Peruvian jungle. Now, he and other Polaroid devotees are wondering
what they'll do when their supply of the instant film runs out.
Polaroid announced last week it's closing factories that make the
film. The Boston-area company says it's seeking a partner to
acquire licensing rights to keep the film in production. Even in
this age of digital photography, there are still plenty of people
using Polaroids for technical or artistic reasons. They're stocking
up on their favorite film while they still can get it.
