Boasting leads to his bust
DELHI, La. (AP) - February 20, 2008
Authorities in Delhi, Louisiana, report Thomas Ballard made a
late-night phone call saying he had "killed them all." He
apparently thought he was dialing a buddy about his Xbox video game
exploits. But state troopers say he called a woman by mistake, who
reported the incident to police. Officers investigated and found no
evidence of a crime. But police say a computer check found Ballard
was wanted on 5-year-old cocaine possession charge. A Louisiana
State Police spokeswoman says it's "weird" how all this came
down.
