Fast-food chain is getting messy
ST. LOUIS (AP) - February 21, 2008 The fast-food
chain is introducing a new line of cheeseburgers and french fries
smothered in chili. The company says most restaurant chains avoid
chili-laden offerings because of the mess they create at the
drive-through window. But Carl's Junior says its core market of
"hungry young men" won't care if they drip some chili on their
shirts or the car seat. The chili dishes join Carl Junior's Monster
Thickburger, which packs more than 1,400 calories and 100-plus
grams of fat.
