Man admits Internet stadium hoax

NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - February 28, 2008 Jake Brahm admited in Newark federal court that he posted false information that so-called dirty bombs would be detonated at seven stadiums having games on Oct. 22.

The 22-year-old had said the stadiums were in Miami, Atlanta, Seattle, Houston, Oakland, Cleveland and New York City.

He admits that the reference to New York City was intended to indicate Giants Stadium, in East Rutherford, N.J., where the New York Jets played the Detroit Lions that day.

Brahm remains free on bail and faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine when sentenced June 5.
