Rhode Island defeats La Salle 91-85
Keith Cothran and Will Daniels each had 15 points for Rhode
Island (21-9, 7-8 Atlantic 10).
Darnell Harris and Ruben Guillandeaux each had 18 for the
Explorers (14-14, 8-6), who had won five games straight.
Rhode Island never trailed in the second half and led 75-66 on a
3-pointer by Baron with 7:55 to play. The Explorers rallied behind
Guillandeaux and tied the score at 81-81 on a Harris trey.
Baron answered with another three, and after two free-throws by
Kimmani Barrett cut the lead to 84-83, Cothran made two foul shots
with 26 seconds remaining.
After a La Salle miss, Parfait Bitee's breakaway layup secured
the win.
