The rig was headed east on the bridge toward New Jersey around 4 a.m. Wednesday when it tipped onto the barrier, shutting down all the eastbound lanes and all but one westbound lane.
Crews removed the truck by about 7 a.m. but morning rush hour traffic remained snarled.
Traffic on other bridges crossing the Delaware River was reported heavy as motorists sought alternate ways of getting around the accident.
