CDC releases Great Lakes pollution report
ATLANTA (AP) - March 12, 2008 It suggests /*pollution*/ in some counties is causing health
problems. The report is by scientists at the Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention. But /*CDC*/ administrators say some of the
science is weak.
CDC officials say they only released it to address accusations
of a cover-up. They have asked an independent scientific advisory
organization, the Institute of Medicine, to review it.
