Prisoner to attend Bethlehem fire funerals

BETHLEHEM, Pa. (AP) - March 14, 2008 The children died of burns and smoke inhalation in the fire on Sunday. Their father, 41-year-old Juan Echevarria, is an inmate at the state prison at Camp Hill.

The fire broke out about 4 a.m. Sunday. High winds, intense flames and the collapse of the roof hampered efforts to fight the fire. Four Echevarria children, ranging from 5 to 13 years old, were killed. A 12-year-old child survived.

The children are to be buried Saturday at Bethlehem's Nisky Hill Cemetery.
