Police say the woman was a passenger in a Ford Taurus that veered out of control on southbound route 13 in Bensalem Township.
The car hit a guiderail, and crossed over into the northbound lanes and hit another guiderail.
50-year-old Mary Ann Locicero, of Morrisville, was ejected from the vehicle and killed.
A 47-year-old man, identified as Lawrence Thompson, managed to get out of the car on his own. He was transported to a hospital for treatment.
Police have not said what caused the car to go out of control.
