Call For Action Success Story

Philadelphia, Pa.; March 21, 2008 Nancy Bilheimer Of Levittown enjoys looking at her pictures from Florida.

But her trip wasn't trouble-free.

She flew Southwest Airlines from Philadelphia to Fort Myers connecting through Orlando.

But, on the very last leg of her trip, she and her husband were told that they couldn't board.

"He said well you don't have tickets as it stands now so I can't give you a boarding pass," said Nancy.

Nancy told Action News that she and her husband had each paid $414.60 for new tickets for the last leg of the flight. Her original tickets for her entire round trip flight only cost $129 a piece!!!

So, when Nancy got home from her trip, she called Southwest to get the matter straightened out.

"Monday morning I called the airline said we'll handle it and that its all taken care of and not to worry," added Nancy.

But, according to Nancy the issue never got resolved.

That's when she contacted Call for Action for help. "The friendliness, the courteousness, it was just unbelievable," she said.

After Call for Action contacted the airline, Southwest sent Nancy a $400 voucher to use toward another trip.

"I can't believe it.. I'm telling everybody I know," she said.

Southwest Airlines told Action News that Nancy did not buy her ticket on Southwest.com. But instead, unknowingly used a "dishonest website" for her transaction.

Southwest says it is working to shut down the website that took advantage of her and was happy to work with Nancy to make good on even another entity's wrong doing.

Southwest says it is important its customer use Southwest.com to purchase travel on the airline.
