The art of Rick rolling

March 26, 2008 Now thanks to a video prank, one of the me generation pop singers is playing a joke on you.

British singer Rick Astley's 1987 hit song "Never Gonna Give You Up" is part of a web prank called Rick rolling.

In short, someone sends you a link to what appears to be a relevant discussion, but it re-directs you to the video instead.

Recently people have started performing live Rick rolls at events and posting the videos on YouTube.
