A police chase that started with a traffic stop in Trenton, New Jersey, ended with a suspect on the loose in Philadelphia's Kensington section.

It all began just before midnight. Police in Trenton say the suspect nearly ran down a Trenton police officer. The suspect then started driving down Route 1 and I-95.

After police from Bucks County joined the chase, a Middletown officer was slightly injured. Sergeant Robert Burnett was treated at St. Mary Medical Center and released.

The suspect also hit a Bensalem police car on I-95 before heading into Philadelphia .

That's when Philadelphia police picked up the chase. It ended in the 2200 block of Taggert Street in Kensington. The suspect left the car there ran away.

The suspect's car was leased and had Massachusetts license plates. It has been taken by Trenton police. The car was leased and investigators are waiting for the owner's offices to open up to find out who holds the lease on the car.
