Ben's new palace in Center City
April 3, 2008 It is your gateway to Palace at the Ben, an upscale Indian restaurant.
Indian food is colorful and offers a lot of new tastes. Most entrees are cooked in a "tandoor," which is a charcoal fired oven. They are not fatty, as some people might think.
You can get a mixed grill entree "hot" - as in sizzling. But Indian dishes need not contain the hot pepper some diners fear.
A lot of Indian dishes contain dairy products. Many also contain chicken or lamb, but a majority are vegetarian, or can be.
In much of the world, Indian food rivals Chinese as a take-out favorite. The Palace at the Ben has a to-go department, at below-menu prices.
The Palace at the Ben is at 9th and Chestnut Streets in Center City. It is open daily for lunch and dinner, and brunch on weekends.
