Senators' votes to be published on the Web

Dover, De - April 10, 2008 Republican Minority Leader Charles Copeland says the move toward open government required hard work and conversations behind the scenes.

Under the policy, the votes will be posted online the day after the voting.

Copeland, meanwhile, says he plans to continue pushing for another open government measure, ending the so-called "desk drawer" veto. Under current Senate rules, committee chairmen can kill legislation without a vote by ignoring pending bills.
