More neglected dogs found in Vineland

VINELAND, N.J. - April 9, 2008 Three more were taken in today bringing to 10 the number found wandering a Vineland neighborhood since Monday.

Action News told you on Tuesday about seven dogs found in the area of Oak lane and Oak Road. Two were even spotted by an Action News photographer on the scene. Both the adult dogs and puppies were filthy. Their coats matted with dirt and waste matter.

Since their arrival at the shelter, the dogs ranging in age from 4 months to 3 years have been getting the star treatment by expert groomers, shearing off the filthy locks.

There won't be any problem finding homes for the dogs, but where they came from is still a mystery and a concern.

Vineland Animal Control is looking for 1 or 2 more dogs that residents saw. If anyone knows more about the dogs and where they may have come from, please call the Cumberland County SPCA at 856-691-1500.
