Victim of Wilmington's 9th homicide ID'd

WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - April 13, 2008

Police say 19-year-old Aaron Flowers was shot several times, with at least one bullet striking the back of his head.

Flowers, whose last known address was in Newark, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have no suspects in his slaying.

His body was found Friday evening on the steps of Domingo's Market at North Harrison and Conrad streets. It was Wilmington's ninth homicide of 2008. There were 14 homicides in the city last year.

Police brought in members of the Child Development Community Policing program to talk to children who were nearby when Flowers was slain.
