A front yard good enough to eat

BALTIMORE (AP) - April 15, 2008

His Baltimore lawn is being replaced by an edible landscape.

The grass is gone. In its place are things like fruit trees, tomato cages, berry bushes, herbs and vegetables.

His veggie yard is a project of architect Fritz Haeg and Baltimore's Contemporary Museum.

The museum will document the progress and exhibit photos of the project beginning May 31st.

Ridgley says he can't wait until he can sit in his yard, read the paper and eat figs off his trees.
