After 60 years of scoops, Sherer's Ice Cream has hit the skids.
The shop closed yesterday.
Fifty-six-year-old Pamela Sherer Javorina ran the place for 17 years.
She says she decided to close because of the high cost of ingredients, the poor economy and not having anyone to take over the business.
The family lived above the store.
Sixty-year-old Rob Sherer remembers growing up there and says he never gets tired of eating ice cream.
