The Kimmel Center also says dozens of individual donors are pitching in to boost the center's endowment to $72 million.
The complex deal involves the Pew Charitable Trusts, the Lenfest Foundation, clothing magnate Sidney Kimmel, the state and other sources.
Kimmel Center officials say now that the debt is being paid, they can deal with other issues like improving acoustics and making the building more pedestrian friendly.
